Sarika Cullis-Suzuki tells CBC’s All Points West radio program how the astounding creatures of Canada’s intertidal zone triggered a lifelong love of the sea and inspired her to pursue a career as a marine biologist. “It really is the interface between the ocean and land,” says Cullis-Suzuki. “It is the only part of the sea that when the tide goes out you can literally walk where the water was. I would spend the whole day there, no problem.”
